If you have not yet reviewed the 4 Pillars, please read on them first, as they set the foundation for an understanding of Simulovirtuism and the following terms.
Key Terms & Concepts
Eudaimonia: Eudaimonia is the foundational principle of Simulovirtuism. It is the path, purpose, and desired destination. It is a conscious way of pursuing a healthier, happier, more fulfilling life. Simulovirts understand that our actions have reactions, and our pursuit of a better life should have positive (or neutral, but never negative) effects on the world around us.

Simulation: This can refer to the world around us, as a whole, or our projection of it. The Simulation is both the universe we live in and what it is made up of. It is uncertain whether we are a part of the Simulation or if it is something projected by our own minds. It is most often believed to be somewhere in between and beyond an amalgamation of the two concepts.

Source Code: The adaptable framework of Simulovirtuism. Individuals create their own source codes to support their Avatar; it can naturally develop or be planned and executed. However, for an individual Simulovirt, it is shaped by personal beliefs, values, and the conscious choices one makes in alignment with Eudaimonia.

Open Source: The idea that change is a natural result of the collaborative and inclusive nature of Simulovirtuism. This allows source codes to evolve based on sharing, learning from others, and growth.

NPC (Non-Player Character): A passive, unengaged existence where an individual lives on autopilot instead of taking control of their destiny. This contrasts with the active pursuit of self-awareness and conscious decision-making necessary to reach one's Avatar.

Nuzlocke: Unique life challenges or constraints that individuals are either born into or come into throughout life. For Simulovirts, Nuzlockes may not be fairly distributed, but can be used to foster resilience, growth, and self-improvement.
Mindfulness: The practice of being present and fully engaged with the current moment, allowing one to consciously make decisions that will lead to their Avatar and Eudaimonia.

Authenticity: Living in alignment with one's true self, values, and beliefs. Respect for the Authenticity of others is a core principle for each Simulovirt's own Authenticity because it is our individual differences that help us become a more effective (and enjoyable) society. In addition, Simulovirts understands that cognitive dissonance can sometimes be a limitation or a useful tool in
Authenticity. This is one of the more complex concepts for new Simulovirts and is best understood through conversation with a fellow Simulovirt or other open-minded friends.

Gamer Theory: The idea that we can level up by pursuing our Avatar and being a force for good, similar to a lead character in a video game. Since our consciousness is the only one we can experience, we are the "Gamer" in our own lives.

Wellness: Simulovirts believes in an interconnected idea of wellness, where nourishing diets, meaningful relationships, physical resilience, and healthy habits contribute to a more positive life experience. The wellness of the Simulation falls under this umbrella, as the planet provides us with all we need to live fulfilling lives, and should thus be respected and nurtured by those who depend on it.
